Comes with two different hole sizes. 1 1/8" for chickadee, wren, and nuthatch nest boxes, and 1 3/8" for swallow and house sparrow boxes. The predator guard makes the entrance hole deeper and comes without a perch to help stop predation of nesting birds. The hole sizes limit what birds can fit in the nest boxes, which can also work to stop other birds taking the nest over.
