Ladybugs
Available mid to late June. Call or email to be alerted once stock arrives.
One of the most widely recognized aphid predators, ladybugs will pray on aphids as both adults and larvae. We carry a North American native species, Hippodamia convergens.
While their main prey is aphids, ladybugs are generalists and will also go after other pests including thrips, mites, whitefly, leafhoppers, and other soft-bodied bugs.
The best time to release ladybugs is at dusk, when temperatures aren't as hot. Mist the area with water, and either simply open the bag and let the ladybugs leave on their own, or you can also manually spread them across the infested area.
