The Hummer Hearth hummingbird feeder heater is designed to work the best with the saucer style hummingbird feeders, as the nectar reservoir sits right above the heat source and results in minimal heat loss. It can be adapted for use with most feeder styles. Just keep in mind that the farther from the heat source the nectar reservoir is the more heat loss you may have and some freezing at the furthest point can occur. For bottle styles, insulating the bottle as well as using the heater can help.
