Has also had success as a cat deterrent. Make a fenced off area for feeding that cats would have to jump over to get to your birds, making it less likely a cat will surprise them. Or lay it flat underneath your feeding area. Cats do not enjoy anything prickly on their feet and tend to steer clear. Chicken wire laid flat or plants like holly branches are great to keep them out of places.
