The biggest advantage of these corn nesting trays are that they are re-useable over many years unless the rodents get them first. Protect from rodents! the second big advantage is that they can be thoroughly cleaned free of bacterial and fungal diseases. Although production is less than in wooden nesting trays and cardboard nesting tubes, good populations can be kept in gardens year in and year out.

The shades and colours of these Quicklock nesting trays assist mason bees in finding their nesting tunnels. Our Quicklock nesting trays have matching grooves. When paired and stacked, the trays form nesting tunnels 7.5 mm or 5/16 of an inch in diameter – the optimum diameter that mason bees prefer. The stacking design makes cleaning and harvesting a snap. In the fall, simply pop the trays apart and gently slide the cocoons out of the exposed grooves.

WINTER STORAGE of nesting trays. After washing in cold water, air dry overnight, stack and tape together in units ready for spring. Make sure all debris have been washed off nesting trays. Also make sure trays are dry for storage. Store in rodent proof area, since rodents do like the natural corn material!
